Wooden cabins in the mountains, in a village with less than 100 inhabitants. Wake up on a small farm that is filled with gardens, with fruit trees and colorful orchards.
Live and work on your project in a a garage that has been converted to an open coworking space and share a space with other like minded professionals with the backdrop of the serenity of nature.
Our six wooden cabins accommodate up to 18 persons. Private and shared rooms in wooden houses with all basics, including balcony, small kitchen, and a studio to work in (for days when you work from the room instead of a coworking space).
With some wood and some trestles we have just transformed the garage into a coworking space (so you can open the door on sunny days to enjoy natural light and the mountains of the Pasiegos valleys).
High-speed fiber optic Internet, with average speeds of 250 Mbps download and 380 Mbps upload. Cables and network interface cards are also available to work as if you were in the office. You can send huge files, stream music and 4k videos at the same time in multiple devices.
People who come to work from PAS Rural Coliving can contribute and help our projects in Ghana (you will find some opportunities in our community work).
You can also accompany us on the next trip to Ghana where we are going to finish the construction of a primary school.
We use fresh ingredients from our garden and we save the leftovers for the chickens.
We are also active as hosts and partners in Erasmus+ programs and other European projects.
And we also organize seed talks, gift circles, hiking, workshops and other activities every week
When we open the windows we enjoy the fresh air and the different shades of green
Only 40 minutes away from the nearest beach, and with 220 kilometers of coastline and more than 90 beaches (to suit all tastes)
Numerous mountain trails and natural parks for hiking and a greenway for biking or running along the river PAS.
There are many possibilities to contribute to the project with your time (remember that the true meaning of life is to plant trees under whose shade you do not expect to sit).
We promote that our guests and those who work in the coliving can know our costs and ways of payment and contribution to the community. Our minimum to operate and to be able to run PAS rural coliving and the glocal experiments to transform the world is 630€ for a shared room and 750€ for a private room, for a monthly stay (per person).
Our guest contribute anywhere between 420€ and 1.020€. We are a non profit organization and we are using all funds to run PAS Rural Coliving and support the projects in Ghana.
If you are looking for a kind place with a purpose, where you can be a part of something bigger, please don’t hesitate to come. And you might be surprised, like me, of being rewarded many times more than I probably deserve.
I have grown so much in the past 15 days thanks to Oscar, Lulu, Lucia, the new friends I met, and the entire community.
There were more than enough time and space for quiet interactions, focused work, personal reflection and communing with nature. I leave this place with clarity of goals, many good friends, and a heart full of joy.
If you want to experience Cantabria’s lush landscapes, breathe in fresh air while hiking alongside cows, sheep, and goats, meet authentic locals, cook delicious meals, take a refreshing dip in the Pas River, and make fun memories while working on your passion project, this is the place for you!
I’m so grateful for connecting with amazing people who I hope to see again in the future for more adventures.
A piece of paradise! The hikes, the river, the nature, the people, they all create a very peaceful and warm environment. The cabins and the coworking space have everything needed, fast internet and amazing views. I loved the time spent there.
I could never have imagined in my life were the friendships I would create, the hug we would become, the security I would feel, the love, joy, & respect. I felt nurtured, seen & heard and most importantly blessed to be among you and learned the value of a community & sisterhood that inspires, kindness, honesty, support, acceptance, respect and safety. You taught me a lot and gave me strength to continue to move forward in my life implementing these values one step at a time. Forever grateful!
I had the opportunity to be hosted by Oscar, Lulu and Lucia in Cantabria. They are phenomenal hosts, full of humility and generosity. The region that surrounds them is absolutely stunning, a spectacle of nature that allows you to rediscover the richness of the soul. An unforgettable experience that enriches the spirit and connects deeply with the essence of life.
The Pas River, located in the mountainous transalpine region, gives its name to our region and to our inhabitants, the Pasiegos.
After many years of living a nomadic life, we returned to Cantabria and settled in Villegar, where we discovered the history of these transhuman cattle farmers, who had between 5 and 10 cabins and moved up to 20 times a year with their dairy cattle between pastures of different heights.
The Pas River runs through the valley and is part of local life, with its bridges, pools, the greenway and spas, symbols of history and well-being.
